During my Junior and Senior years at Berkeley, I had the opportunity to facilitate the introductory graphics course, UCBUGG or University of California Berkeley Undergraduate Graphics Group. As lead facilitator, I was responsible for:

-
Teaching students through lectures, office hours, and one-on-one mentoring
-
Cooperating with other student facilitators and ensuring they had the time and resources to write lectures and labs for the course.
-
Operating the campus render farm with Pixar’s Tractor software
-
Teaching students about RIS Renderman materials and their applications
-
Working with students to optimize their shots through efficient replacement of optically complex materials and use of compositing
-
Developing tools and scripts to streamline the render process for students and automatically respond to errors in order to optimize use of render time
-
Leading promotional presentations for the University and UCBUGG
